Here is a sneak peek of what you can expect in our print magazine.
A review of the Imperial War Museum's free exhibitions, 'Refugees', is just one of our many features.
For too long the British media has told out-of-date stories about immigration and migrants. In a country home to the Hostile Environment Policy and over 6 million migrants, it is important that the narrative is shifted.

PAPERS focuses on UK migration and stories about migrants of all kinds, from second-generation migrants to asylum seekers. We want to pay respect to the strengths and collective power of the people who have demonstrated struggle and resolution.
We aim to tell migrants' stories, challenge misconceptions and raise awareness about the treatment of migrants in the UK. We offer information, support and guidance to migrants and anyone looking to learn about migration.

We hope to showcase the rich fusion of cultures and identities in the UK, reporting on the people and places that make Britain what it is today.

MEET THE TEAM
EDITOR
Ellie Skeffington
PAPERS came about when we noticed the lack of positive and accurate coverage about UK migration. Looking at the extortionate fees and home office delays migrant workers face every day drove home how important and underreported these issues are.
SUB EDITOR
Having witnessed the refugee crisis in Calais and mistreatment of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, I see it as more important than ever to talk about the positives of migration as well as failings by the Home Office.

FEATURES EDITOR
Migrant communities in the UK are constantly under threat. The UK is built up of many migrant communities throughout history. It’s so important that we recognise and celebrate this and I hope PAPERS can be a step in the right direction for achieving this.

HEAD DESIGNER
I have always been a firm believer in giving people a platform to speak their truth. PAPERS gives migrants, refugees and asylum seekers a place to speak their truth, but also challenge how they're represented in the media.

I believe that it is very important and impactful to tell the stories of the individuals who bring such a wealth of experience into this country and that’s never visible. PAPERS is a positive publication challenging negative rhetoric and bringing attention to the positive contributions migrants make.
