A year since the first lockdown forced restaurants to close, people have been cooking these international dishes while stuck at home

We asked our readers to send in pictures of the international meals they have been making over lockdown. Here is a selection.
1. Khandvi (V)

Dinesh Patel posted on Instagram sharing a taste of India with this Gujarati dish. It is a savoury snack made from gram flour and yogurt and has a zingy flavour from the ginger, green chilli and coriander. / @dineshpatel.ofc
2. Taquitos (VE)

Zarina took up cooking over lockdown and set up an Instagram account, regularly sharing her international food creations. These Mexican vegan taquitos were filled with peppers, garlic, tomatoes and a whole lot of spice. / @Zarskitchen
3. Chinese Pancake Pockets

Chinese pancakes, or ‘Jianbing’ as they are known in China, can be traced all the way back to 220 – 280 AD in the Shandong Province. Zarina filled these Chinese pancake pockets with prawns and vegetables. / Cooklybookly
4. Crab Curry (GF)

Crab curry, also known as ‘Kakuluwo curry’ or ‘Jaffna crab curry’, originates from Sri Lanka’s seaside towns. Zarina shared this curry with a warning – it is SPICY. / CooklyBookly
5. Bulgogi Sushi (GF) (VO)

Zarina wanted to try something different so incorporated Korean kimbap (similar to Japanese sushi) with bulgogi, which translates to ‘fire-meat’. / @Zarskitchen
